If patient cannot be aroused give flumazenil; respiratory depression can occur in a client after a procedure requiring sedation. Romazicon reverses the effects of benzodiapines. 7. Surgical procedures with general anesthesia normally require a hemoglobin of 10.0 g/Dl or higher in order to ensure adequate oxygen-carrying capacity. 8. Uncontrolled pain can be a precursor of postoperative complications; therefor, to ensure the clients safety, it is important for the nurse to reassess the client after the initial dose of the pain. 9.
