1. Name some very important organs that are not vital organs.  Very important organs that are not vital organs are the eyes and the reproductive system. 2. List and functional description all the ... normal vital organs, including today’s exceptions.  The brain and the brain stem are two distinct organs functionally. The brain and the brain stem manage movement, and thoughts. The brain stem manages the involuntary movement which is important to manage to the breathing and the heart  The lungs are also vital, people can survive with one lung, they function to provide us with oxygen. The lungs are responsible for removing oxygen from the air we breathe and transferring it to our blood where it can be sent to our cells. The lungs also remove carbon dioxide, which we exhale.  The heart is not a paired organ it’s a single organ. The human heart is a responsible for pumping blood throughout our body.  The liver that has several lobes, someone can survive with one lobe and still function. The liver has many functions, including detoxifying of harmful chemicals, breakdown of drugs, filtering of blood, secretion of bile and production of blood-clotting proteins.  The pancreas which is vital for its hormonal secretions. It is part of the digestive system and produces insulin and other important enzymes and hormones that help break down foods.  The stomach as a whole it is essential for breaking down food.
