Brown has felt a need for the organization to pursue a process oriented approach; it has done great previously, but can’t sustain this way in a changing environment. Brown has observed the problem of lack of communication and efforts to bring these departments together. He observed that, IT and business customer wait for each other inputs, both not sure about each other’s capabilities and process. As a result of this miscommunication, innovative and creative ideas lack behind. The need for business transformation arose from the customer, as they pushed the company to produce more services at lower delivery cost. In order to do that APS was forces to face challenges of improved reliability of power generation and distribution.
