Abstract This report is of a lab dissection of a sheep kidney in connection with the urinary system studies for human anatomy and physiolo... gy class. The sheep kidney had been pre-selected for its anatomical similarities to that of a human kidney by our professor. The structures of the kidney will be examined from the external working towards the most interior structures as we progress threw the process. During the dissection of the kidney, we will be photographing for labeling the external and internal structures of the anatomy. Some of the structures we will be examining are the cortex, hilus, calyx, medulla, renal columns, renal papilla, renal pelvis, renal pyramids, and the ureter. [Show More]
