We reviewed how ethics is concerned with a code of behaviors, compared to bioethics, which relates to life-and-death decisions. Nurses can face a variety of ethical dilemmas that arise when there is conflict among the codes for decision making for the nurse as an individual, the nursing profession, the organization, and/or the patient.

Describe an experience you have had in your clinical setting that presented an ethical dilemma for you. Use Module 2 and other resources to inform your reflection. The reflection should include, at minimum, the following areas:
What is your ethical dilemma?
Are there political implications to the dilemma?
Why was the dilemma difficult for you?
What did you do to cope with it?
Were you able to resolve the dilemma? If not, why not?
