What kind of quality must data be, to use it? - High Quality/ Good Quality

Capture Data - Recording and storing data that has been collected, error free. The data capturing process must be valid (follows all processes) and timely (fast, so it's not outdated by the time we use it).
Analyzing Data - discovering trends and patterns
Using Data - Integrate and use insights from data analysis. This is the point of decision making.
What is a company doing whenever they "decide" to do something? - They are "using" the data they've "captured" and "analyzed" to make data driven decisions.
What makes data good? - Valid: Follow the rules the organization has set up for us

Third Party Data - A way to expand your database. Must follow privacy laws and any licensing rules that come with them.

What happens if you fail to secure private employee and customer data? - It can end up as a liability because that data can be stolen

If the information gets leaked by someone who works or worked for the company, that employee can be sued.
