There is a process of steps that are involved in perception. The first step is environmental stimulus. Environmental stimuli are the events that happen in the environment around us that our sense recognize and respond to. This response can either be consciously or unconsciously. What happens in environmental stimulus is a person sees a tree. Next, the responses created by the stimuli are changed between the environmental stimuli and the perception. Finally, the light is reflected on the retina from that tree and that light is then transformed into upside down image on our retina. The second step is transduction. Transduction is the transformation of an environmental stimuli into some other form such as electrical energy, which are nerve impulses to the cones and the rods. The third step is neural process. The neural process is the changes that happen when any signals are moved through neurons. These are primarily collected in the temporal lobe, the occipital lobe, and the parietal lobe.
