In order to support with providing those services to customers, AT&T Inc. has a huge fixed and personal assets in the US. The company should pay over one billion-dollar tax to agencies of all 50 states every year. However, it is very difficult to accurately reflect the “real” property tax liability, when it is to manage a huge asset like AT&T. After a new acquisition or new projects, there are many unclassified, duplicated, obsolete assets’ data that need to be clean up from systems. Over last couple of weeks, the project manager (PM) has developed a project management plan. This project will include a brainstorm, analysis, communication meeting, investigation, test, feedback, and project management skills to find out how to effectively wipe out duplicated and obsolete assets’ data from systems and improve the database system. Purpose AT&T Inc. is paying lot money on property taxes. The duplicated / obsolete assets’ data was cost the company much. To clean up those duplicated assets’ data will immediately save over millions dollar every year in timely, and the company can have that saved money to reinvest into the business operation to create more profit.
