Introduction The provisions of the Bill of Rights always applied to federal laws but not always to state laws. This meant at one time, the state laws could establish conditions that were contrary to the rights of citizens in the US Constitution. In this activity, you’ll examine about the evolution of laws and doctrine such that today state laws adhere to federal standards regarding rights.
