What are the ways to create prospects in Pardot? - ANS - Manual prospect creation, import via a CSV file, or a visitor fills out a form (providing their contact information) on a form handler, and merging prospects (combining two prospects into one). Why do you use a Prospect Audit? - ANS - If a change to a prospect in Pardot is in question, a user can go to the Prospect Audit table to see what changes were made, when they were made, and the source of the change. What are the different types of lists? - ANS - Static Lists-manually add and remove prospects; Dynamic Lists-rule based lists that automatically add or remove prospects to the list based on the specified criteria.; Suppression List-These prospects will not receive the email in their inbox. Give an example of when to use a suppression list? - ANS - If you send the same email template on different occasions in a drip campaign, and there are two lists on the recipient end with duplicate prospects. Pardot will only deduplicate if you select two lists to receive one email and there are duplicate prospects between the two lists. Give an example of when to use a dynamic list - ANS - To RSVP to an event, subscribe or unsubscribe from a newsletter or blog, segmentation purposes-building a list of all the marketing executives, or all the people that work in a specific location. Best used for when fields could be changed by the prospect. Give an example of when to use a static list - ANS - If you want to create a list of competitors, if you want to create a list of people that you met a particular event and nurture them. How do you grant access in Pardot? - ANS - Mass import from a CSV file; or manually under the Admin tab; required fields are first and last name and email. Assign a role to the user. What are the default user roles in Pardot? - ANS - Admin, Marketing, Sales, Sales Manager Admin role - ANS - Grant access to Pardot, domain management, manage fields, connectors, and automation settings. Marketing role - ANS - The marketing role has access to all marketing assets but cannot grant access to users in Pardot. Sales role - ANS - A sales rep can only see the data of the prospects that are assigned to them. Sales manager - ANS - The sales manager can see all prospect data across all prospect accounts. What does the Pardot overview tab, under Admin, do? What are its use cases? - ANS - The Overview tab tells the Admin the email usage of the Pardot users. It shows the amount of: Drip emails, list emails, automated emails, one-to-one emails, engage emails, all emails. You can also edit the tracking opt-in preferences here. It can show the admin a comparison of the types of emails that were sent in the last week, and then what was sent over the last few years. How do you update the vanity domains? - ANS - Go to Admin, Domain Management, Click Add tracker domain, get the qualified CNAME from your IT team for example www2 or go.cheshireimpact.com. Set the record to point to go.pardot.com. Copy the domain validation key from the table in Pardot paste the domain validation key into the text record of the host. The DNS can take up to 24 hours to populate. Then click the gear icon in Pardot and select set as primary. You can designate one primary tracker domain per account and it must be the same across all accounts. How do you implement email authentication? - ANS - Go to Admin, Domain Management, Click Add Domain. Enter the domain that you want to send emails from. Click create Domain. Click "Expected DNS Entries". Copy and paste the SPF code to your host record (for example blue host). Add a TXT record and then copy and paste the Domainkey_Policy and the DomainKey value that you generated in Pardot. Next to each domain click "Check DNS Entries". How do you access Settings in Pardot? - ANS - From any page in Pardot, click the gear icon in the top right hand corner and select settings. Settings show you the account information and the product and service notifications. You can also grant access to Pardot employees on this page. What are the Pardot connectors? - ANS - Webinar, Other (Google Ads, Twilio, bit.ly etc.), Social Media, Event (Eventbrite), Video (Wistia), Social (Facebook, LinkedIn, & Twitter). What does a Pardot connector do? - ANS - A connector syncs Pardot with third-party applications and the data is passed back and forth between the two applications. What does the Salesforce Pardot Connector do? - ANS - It syncs prospect and opportunity data between Pardot and Salesforce. Pardot can sync with Salesforce professional edition and higher. How do you create a page action? - ANS - Navigate to Marketing, Automation, Page Actions. Click Add Page Action. Enter the name of the page on the website, enter the pages URL, update the page score of the point value that you want added to the prospect score if they go to this page.
