How well does Scout, the narrator, understand the story she is telling us? How might
the way that she tells the story bias the reader toward or against other characters? How
does she limit what we know about the story, the setting, and the other characters?
What would you most like know that Scout hasn't told us? >ANS> I think Scout
understands the story pretty well. She might bias the reader because we know how
badly Ms. Doubose treated them and how she complained about her terrible she was,
yet Atticus had his reason for saying she was a good woman. If we heard the story
through Atticus' perspective we would have thought of Ms. Doubose to be a good
person. Scout limits what we know because of her stand point as a child. If she were an
adult she might be informed of more things. I would like to know why Walter
Cunningham was in the center of the mob outside of the prison.
