Problem Mia, a recently hired program... manager at Rescue, has a decision to make regarding her new role within this new company. Feeling discouraged and let down about her expectations for the company, she is struggling to decide whether she should stay at this new job or look for other opportunities elsewhere. Since it has only been 3-4 weeks at her new job, Mia should stick it out and give it more time before making the decision to leave. Analysis It’s Mia’s first day working as program manager for Rescue, a large poverty aid organization, and she already feels uneasy about her new job. Before starting this new role, Mia was under the assumption that she would be able to do more fulfilling work in the field from her interview with Saul but found out early on in the job that this would not be the case. She is struggling to find a way to communicate her concerns with her new manager, Michael, who is more often than not too busy to even have a conversation with Mia. Compared to her last job at Azzurro, there are a lot more employees and most don’t seem as people-oriented as her former coworkers. On top of this, the Rescue office she is employed at is relatively new and the workflow is not as organized as a fully adjusted office would be.
