The Singapore Green Plan 2030 is a nation-wide movement set to aid Singapore’s national agenda in moving forward with our sustainable development (GreenGovSG, 2022a). It charts out the targets a ... nd goals over the next 10 years to achieve the “net zero emissions aspiration”. The Green Plan also shows Singapore’s commitment in building a sustainable future and in tackling the global challenge of climate change. One of the key programme of the Green Plan 2030 is “Sustainable Living”, which covers improving sustainable consumption and waste production habits, lowering emission from transportations and reducing schools’ carbon emissions (GreenGovSG, 2022b). To meet the targets set in this key programme, changes need to be in Singaporeans’ daily routines to greatly reduce the amount of waste and emissions produced as a nation. This includes individuals who are currently contributing to their household water consumptions, who have the capability of reducing their amount of waste produced daily. Individuals who do not use public transport should also change their mode of transport with the increased number of cycling paths and expanded rail network (LTA, 2022; LTA, n.d., “Rail Expansion” & “Road and Commuter Facilities”).
