Computer forensics is the process of collecting evidences using the available evidence
that are present in the digital devices. The data collected from these devices are analyzed and the
interpreted to produce evidence to be presented to the court of law. The goal of undertaking
digital forensic to preserve the evidence in its original form. To locate the data that are required
in the investigation process is the most complex part of the digital forensic process. As
technology continues to improve so does the ability of the criminal to hide their actions. This
requires the examiner to become savvier in their searching and data collection. The digital
information that is being sought can exist in several locations to include USB sticks, RAM and
swap space, and operating system hard disks.
