Problem Statement As a data analyst at XYZ Corporation, my job is to develop an application for UVW College to identify the factors that determine the individual’s income for the given project. W... ith salary as the determining criteria to market their degree programs, UVW College is hoping to boost their enrollment using a prediction model that will allow them to tailor their marketing efforts. The United States Census Bureau data will be used as a dataset $50,000 as the key salary. The problem statement has been broken down as follows: 1. To develop marketing profiles of individuals with a focus on salaries above and below $50,000. 2. To identify the factors or features that determine the income of the individual. 3. To develop an application that has a predictive model of the income of an individual. Project Progress The primary task was to develop an understanding of the dataset and to find the factors that determine the person’s income. In the initial analysis, a data exploration was conducted on the dataset to identify the most important features against the class label of the salary range and the features were accordingly chosen for consideration in the further analysis.
