LO1: Evaluate different types of construction Information in the context of diverse project types? The term Project information refers to all of the information that is utilized to generate, convey ... , and realize a building construction project from its beginnings. Many individuals might be engaged in the construction of a project at any one time; this means that a considerable quantity of information will be generated. This could include letters, sketches, drawings, schedules and bills of quantities; specifications; contracts; models; and so on. Information that may have been obsolete but still had an impact on the project's success should be kept for record-keeping reasons. It's possible for projectrelated information to arrive in a variety of formats: drawings (or models), specifications, a budget, and timetables, written instructions, and so on. In most cases, this data is generated by members of the design team, although the contractor or subcontractor may also contribute part of it. All of this information must be sent and coordinated in order for a construction project to succeed. For the information to cease flowing, it just requires one or two faulty cogs to occur. A project's information is defined in the RIBA Plan of Work 2013 as; 'Information that is exchanged between parties throughout each stage and in formal Information Exchanges at the conclusion of each stage'. Type of information: There are a variety of ways in which a construction project might create data. Drawings, plans, sections and elevations, working drawings and schedules (e.g. doors and windows, ironmongery etc.), models, specifications, requests for information and letters, etc. are all included in this category. As a consequence of this investigation you will be provided with a wide range of information such as: Quantity and scheduling bills. " Contracts, invoices, purchase orders, certifications, and notifications. The process of requesting and obtaining permits. Information format: Since the dawn of the digital age and the proliferation of proprietary software, information is now accessible in a plethora of forms. CAD (e.g. AutoCAD and Revit) files, data that may be retained as part of a building information model (BIM), and otherdigital forms can be used in addition to the conventional hard-copy print formats (particularly paper). Interoperability issues might arise as a result of this, hence file interchange protocols for data transmission across various kinds of proprietary software have had to be devised (with varying success).
