Positive Bias Professor, I chose to do positive bias. The example that came to mind is when I was at Best Buy. I went in just to have one of the employees come up to me and recommend a movie called The Visit. The employee raved about another M. Night Shyamalan movie that's pretty good until it completely disappoints you at the end of the movie and spoke with the same employee and explained to him that I actually did enjoy the movie and how wrong I was because it changed my view on the movie because I made a judgment based on personal experience and the re that I did both negative and positive bias. Respond Edit (an instructor response) RE: Positive Bias 7/3/201 Alex, thank you for your thoughts on positive biases. I like your thoughts about your interpretation of the m interpretation and judgment may not be our experiences. Would you also look at some of the other biases and let me know your thoughts? It is important and critical around us. Often, we are not aware of our biases. This would be particularly true in the coming political sea either a Republican or a Democrat, without really knowing why they are either. Thank you for your thoughts on cognitive biases, and I look forward to your thoughts. Stephen Respond RE: Positive Bias Professor, I have looked at a different Cognitive Bias that I thought to be very true and in my opinion; o negative thoughts or feelings towards the other group as much as they do from favoritism towards discrimination. If someone believes that another person belongs to the same group as you're in, they a preferential treatment. There are several examples of in-group bias, one can be the presidential prima down to the candidates; two separate groups are formed. These two groups have a strong bias aga not being the biggest fan of politics but sports, I can talk about it. The rivalry between the fans of the two teams in overshadowed by the rivalry between the fans. Some teams’ rivalries are so bad, that it is been in the n fans of the opposing team. I think in-group bias is one of the biggest cognitive biases that is used and I am an Atlanta Falcons fan and our rivals are the New Orleans Aints, I meant to say Saints! I admit I hav myself. Respond Edit (an instructor response) RE: Positive 7 Bias Alex, thank you for your thoughts on cognitive biases. I do agree with you about the in group bias feelings against others but also from favoritism toward their own group. I did like your thoughts about the political process and your example of sports teams. What strategies do you think someone could employ in order to discover this type of in group bia Respond [Show More]
