I knew this was a lie because I saw another customer justuse the machine.My mother was stereotyped based on her ethnicity and skin color.In other words, she was racial profiled based on her brown skincolor and was perceived as a threat to the store. The employeeshad stereotyped her as being "poor" because of the way shelooked. This made me feel sorry for my mom and it also openedmy eyes to how much my mom goes through in an Americansociety.
