The metaparadigm of nursing involves concepts of person, health, nursing, and environment (Black, 2020). The interdependence of the four metaparadigm of nursing applies in meeting the nursing theory as a framework for quality practice (Bender, 2018). The individual practicing nursing under the four metaparadigms of nursing applies theoretical nursing fundamentals in providing health. The use of theoretical nursing fundamentals focuses on the patient and the environment that influences the patient’s health. The nurse applies a humanistic form of care that acknowledges the patient as a fellow human first. Afterward, the nurse is in a position to apply the human caring theory in healthcare provision. The nurse uses the impact environment has on the patient to cater to the patient’s needs.
