Introduction The Rivington garden is afamous tourist attraction site in Rivington. The site was planned by William Hesketh Lever. It was named as one of the most famous gardens by BBC TV in 1925. Th... e garden is known as the Chinese garden by the locals. It occupies a piece of land which is about 45 acres. “The garden is found between the Rivington Pike and the Rivington Hall Barn” (Cox, 2012). The garden has myriad of paths which are linked to several stone buildings and structures, and the architectural design of the garden was done by Thomas Mawson. The Rivington Gardens is situated on the horizons Rivington Moor. It is situated to the western part of the Great Pennine Moors. “The site is overlooked by the Lever Park and the valley reservoirs” (Yao 2017). The Rivington Pike Tower or the Grade II is the prominent building in the location. The Garden is found in the South East of the Belmont Road. The North East corner has boundary sites across a short distance in the western lane of the Grade II tower. The area occupied by the garden is estimated to be around 18 hectares.
