Boyz n the Hood (1991) directed by John Singleton is a film that provides the most brilliantly effected and fully realized portrait of life in South Central, Los Angeles. This film features the suffoc... ating conditions of a rotten urban and civic chaos where Tre, Doughboy, and Ricky are the main characters. These three teenagers are exposed to the same lower class neighborhood dominated by thugs, violence, guns, and liquor. Tre is brought up by a responsible father, Furious Styles and taught how to be responsible and civilized. Doughboy and Ricky are raised in one house and exposed to the same violent atmosphere.
