Based on these new orders, is there anything you would do differently for your 0900 medication pass?
I would ask the patient if they would like to take their bowel care medications this morning, and strongly
recommend that they do. To cluster my care, I would also take the glucometer into the room to obtain another
CBC and bring in new dressing supplies to reinforce the surgical dressing.

Nursing Orders: Straight cath once for urine sample collection

I would talk to Gladys about the new order to perform a straight catheterization in order to obtain a urine
sample and answer any questions she may have. I would bring in the morning medications with the straight
catheter supplies and perform the straight cath after she has taken her medications.

noticed that Herbie Saunders was experiencing increased shortness of breath due
to fluid overload and you appropriately administered his morning medications
without delay.
