Advise clients to observe for indications of an impending asthma episode and to keep a log of the frequency and intensity of exacerbation Chapter 7 – Client teaching about Buspirone 1. Advise clients to take the medication with meals to prevent gastric irritation. 2. Advise clients that effects do not occur immediately. It can take a week to notice the first therapeutic effects and 2 to 6 weeks for the full benefit. 3. Tolerance, dependence or withdrawal effects are not an issue with this medication.
