How do artif... acts related to EA components? 3. Briefly describe two examples of artifacts at the Goals & Initiatives level of the EA3 Cube Framework. 4. Briefly describe two examples of artifacts at the Applications & Services level of the EA3 Cube Framework. 5. Briefly describe two examples of artifacts at the Network & Infrastructure level of the EA3 Cube Framework. What is the purpose of current views of EA components? Current views establish or verify what resources, including IT, arebeing used in lines of business to support the achievement of strategic goals, which serves as a reference baseline for planningand decision making.•Presents an “As-is” view of the enterprise. •Reveals associations, dependencies, and performance gaps between the business’s business requirements and current capabilities. 2.How do artifacts relate to EA components?•Artifacts are the actual documents that describe / document the EA components at each level of the framework. They include reports, diagrams, charts, spreadsheets, videos, etc. •In terms of the current view, the current architecture is a collection of EA artifacts that document the existing EA components throughout the enterprise to establish an “as-is” view of the enterprise. 3.Briefly describe two examples of artifacts at the Goals & Initiatives level of the EA3Cube Framework. 1. What is an EA implementation methodology? Answer: According to (Bernard, 2012),’ EA implementation methodology (EA methodology), is a detailed procedure for establishing, maintaining and using an EA framework and documentation approach. The EA methodology is the first step in coordinating the EA documentation approach. The value of adopting an EA methodology is that it reduces the risk of creating an ineffective EA program and/or inaccurate EA documentation’ (Bernard 2012, p.89). (Bernard, 2012) also stated that,’ EA methodology defines how the EA will be implemented and how documentation will be developed, archived, and used; including the selection of a framework, modelling tools, and on-line repository’ (Bernard 2012, p.89). EA implementation methodology could be summarized as follows: • The EA implementation methodology is a foundational element of an EA program. • It defines HOW / what types of the documentation of the EA will be gathered and used in order to use and select the EA documentation framework • It is the detailed procedure for doing and maintaining an EA • It provides a detailed comprehensive approach to EA governance and documentation - including how often it will be updated and how EA users will access and share the information - reducing the risk of producing and EA that is not useful to stakeholders • It defines what software modelling tools, web applications, and databases will be needed to automate documentation techniques and enable future scenario modelling. 2. What is the role of an EA framework within the EA methodology? Answer: According to (Bernard, 2012),’the EA framework is a structure for organizing information that defines the scope of the architecture; what the EA program will document and the relationship of various areas of the architecture’ (Bernard 2012, p.89). The role of the EA framework is to establishes the scope of the EA – or the “what” of the EA program overall architecture and its sub-segments. It is the structure for organizing this information. Can link strategy, business, and technology to help improve resource planning and decision making throughout the enterprise. An EA framework has various levels that come together with components that contribute to/document the strategic goals and measures, business services, information objects, software applications and network hardware in the form of EA artifacts (text documents, manuals, guides, etc. (Bernard 2012, p.94).
