Social: The patient usually travels around for work so they do not really get to cook for
themselves and often finds themselves eating outside or ordering takeout. The patient
does not smoke.
Family: The patient notes that both her parents have problems with high blood pressure
and that their mother is also a diabetic. There is also a history of heart disease that runs in
the family.
Surgery: The patient has no previous record of surgery
Medications: The patient uses metformin to manage their diabetes.
Vaccines/Allergies: The patient has a pollen allergy, and they are up to date with their
vaccines and recently got a flu shot.
