She denies fever, chills, myalgia, and urinary urgency. Patient has a medical history of urinary tract infection and vaginal yeast infection. She denies a personal history of STD’s. She verbalizes that she is sexual active and has multiple sexual partners and does not use condoms. She is currently taking ethinyl estradiol/drospirenone (OCP) and states that she takes them as prescribed and has not missed any dose. Per exam a mucopurulent discharge is noted to the cervical os. Gonorrhea culture, cervical swab, and STD culture confirmed a diagnosis of Gonorrhea, which was treated with Ceftriaxone 250 mg IM and Azithromycin 1 gram orally.
