I'm sleeping well and staying active, and that seems to give me energy. I've been feeling really good. Do you exercise? I've been exercising more lately, actually. I try to go on a walk for thirty or forty minutes four or five times a week, and Selena and I go swimming at the Y once a week, too. What is your average meal like? It kind of depends on the meal, but I've been making a lot of meals from recipes I found on a blog for people with diabetes. What type of diet do you follow? I've really improved my diet recently. I eat less carbs, and I don't eat sweets at all. I try to eat whole grains, and stuff that's low fat. I've found ways to prepare vegetables that I really like. I think I'm doing really well. I've only had a couple breathing problems around cats since I came in with asthma problems almost a year ago, and I just use my rescue inhaler, and I'm fine. Do you have any allergies? I'm still allergic to cats, though I've really been trying to avoid them since I came in with those asthma problems. Do you take any other medication? Um, I take a lot now, so let me list everything I take . . . I'm taking Yaz for birth control, metformin, and my daily inhaler. And I have the albuterol inhaler that I don't seem to need anymore. Are you sexually active? It's been a while, but I actually have a boyfriend now. We haven't had sex yet, but we probably will soon. Are you allergic to latex? Cats are the worst for my asthma--no matter what, if I'm around cats, my breathing gets bad. But sometimes it gets bad from being around dust or having to run up stairs, too. What makes your asthma better? I think my asthma's better because I've been using the daily inhaler. . . it's really made a difference. Any shortness of breath? My breathing is fine right now. HOw often do you have asthma attacks? My asthma has been fine since I started the daily inhaler. The last time I had a problem was maybe three months ago when I was around a cat, and I just used my rescue inhaler and it was fine. Any problems with your hearing? My hearing is good. Any issues with your vision? I don't have problems now that I got these glasses. When did you get those glasses? I can swallow fine. How has your appetite been? I was hungrier for a while because of my diabetes, but since I started taking medication for it, my appetite has been pretty normal. Any issues with your bowels? No, I'm not having problems in that area. Any problems with your neck? Nothing's wrong with my neck.
