To identify and classify bacteria colony characteristics on a Petri dish. 4. To investigate bacterial growth from different environments. Materials and Equipment Agar powder Antibiotic discs, 2 types (2 each) Control discs (2) Cotton swabs, sterile (2) Forceps Goggles Gloves Petri dishes (2) Materials Not Included Bleach Paper towels Incubator, 37°C (optional) Water, distilled Introduction Bacteria are prokaryotes, unicellular organisms that lack membrane-bound organelles, including a nucleus.
