Why is it importa... nt? Description: Self-awareness and the provision of compassionate care to a colleague can be challenging. However, there needs to be peace between colleagues as it will bring about good expertise. This essay explains the challenges, actions to promote this concept and its importance. Firstly, one may feel that other colleagues underestimate them. Firestone (2020) explained self-criticizing oneself and having low self-esteem brings about this feeling.
