Final Project Introduction to Business--Writing A Business Plan
1. Overview: In place of a final exam,
students will complete a portfolio project.
For this final portfolio, students will review
many of the concepts covered throughout
the semester by creating a business plan.
This template breaks the portfolio down
into 15 paragraphs. Think of them like 15
essay questions. Instructions are provided
to help students answer each part.
Students will need to review their notes or
review the lessons to answer some
questions. The interactive presentation will
be very helpful in completing this project.
Please use the right column of this graphic
organizer to type in your answers.
If using this as a google document,
please make a copy of the document
or download it. You will not be able
to type into the master document.
2. Overall Challenge: You have been
working as an Assistant Manager in Mimi
and Jasmine's (M&J) warehouse. M&J is
an innovative cosmetics company that was
started several years ago by two women.
Because fulfilling small orders is not what
you envision for your career, you have
begun to study business. You have
recently learned that the owners of M&J
are interested in selling the business. You
are interested in buying the company, so
based on the advice of a small business
consultant at the local Chamber of
Commerce, you decide to put together a
business plan to secure a loan.
Helpful tip!!!!! Review Lesson 2 New
Business Venture, slides 10-15 in the
interactive presentation for an overview
of starting a business. Also, you may
wish to start by learning more about a
cosmetics company. There is a GREAT
video in Lesson 17: Financial and Risk
Management. Watch the video on Slide
