The Market Revolution created many effects on the nation between 1800
and 1860. Some of the most significant effects were a brand new economy,
the market society, and the second great awakening.

The new economy that resulted from the market revolution consisted of
many innovations used to better the country in some way. The desire for
transportation increased so therefore improvements in transportation were
made. The same thing happened with tools, improvement were made for
tools so that people could be more efficient working. This point supports my
thesis because a talked about the economy that the market revolution
caused.

Evidence:
Better ways of transportation such as the Erie Canal, roads, steamboats, and
railroads were integrated during the market revolution.

The documents and my evidence support point 1 because they show
improvements in transportation and tools were a major factor in the market
revolution.

The market revolution created the market society which consisted of better
commercial farming and the factory system. The northwest became a region
where commercial farming thrived. The factory system was when the first
factories started being built and created jobs and profit for the nation. This
point supports my thesis because I talked about the market society and how
factories first started with the factory system.

Evidence:
Commercial farmers grew crops and raised livestock to sell and the east
provided a credit and market source. The first factory was established by
Samuel Slater and was based on an outwork system.
