11. Angina is not always experienced as "pain" as many people understand pain. How
would you describe symptoms you want him to warn you about? Why is this important?
Cardiovascular disease comes with different symptoms in different patients. However,
there are similar symptoms, especially in the experience of pain. One of the common symptoms
is chest discomfort that leads to radiation down the left arm. Moreover, pain or discomfort may
be experienced in the lower jaw in the early stages of the disease (Rangaswami et al., 2019). As
the disease progresses, the pain moves to the shoulder, towards the abdomen, and then to the
back. Other symptoms that I would advise Angina to be warned about include palpitations, the
experience of shortness of breath, increased anxiety, and dizziness. The importance of warning
Angina about such symptoms is that with such symptoms, there was a likelihood of the patient
going to have an MI.
12. What safety measures or instructions would you give W.R. before you leave his room?
There are various safety measures that can be given to a patient showing symptoms
similar to those of Myocardial infarction. Such safety measures are aimed at ensuring that the
disease is correctly diagnosed through filtration of other diseases with similar symptoms. Some
of the safety measures that would be given to W.R. include keeping his side rails raised. This
ensures that blood can be pumped to all parts of the body easily. To void complications in the
flow of blood in W.R.'s body, his bed should be in the lowest position (Welsh et al., 2019).
Another safety measure that would be given to W.R. on his departure from the hospital is that his
call light should always be kept within his reach. The call light would serve as a reminder for

him to change positions slowly to ensure that orthostatic hypotension is prevented. W.R. would
also be instructed to make frequent calls to the people around when he needed to use the
washrooms. It is a measure to prevent him from standing without assistance. He should also call
when he experienced any of the mentioned symptoms.
