Results will advise on the culture and readiness of the organization EBP. A sample tool, suggested by Melnyk and Fineout￾Overholt, was utilized to assess the culture and readiness of the organization towards implementation of evidence-based practice (EBP) (Melnyk & Fineout-Overholt, 2015). The results of the scale-based survey demonstrated that the organization was moderately ready to integrate EBP in the clinical setting, scoring an average of 4 where 5 was the highest. Management within the organization has been making efforts to slowly educate the nursing staff about the importance of EBP and the positive impact it will have on patient care. Commitment to EBP by administrators and fiscal resources used to support EBP scored significantly higher. There is an initiative where nurses are encouraged by managers to identify problems within their organization and research to propose an EBP solution with the support of a mentor, while being paid during the process. On the contrary, librarians in the organization with EBP knowledge and skills are scarce. This can be resolved by dedicating an EBP trained educational resource who is able to guide the nurses through databases and other material for evidence (DeNisco & Barker, 2016). Possible project barriers are the challenges in strengthening the interest of staff nurses and obtaining approval from upper management to invest in resources specific to EBP. The barriers to EBP improvements ranked by all participants were lack of the right equipment or supplies, insufficient time, and lack of staff.
