Some students and other individuals I know chose their careers based on how much they will earn and the success involved with it, but for me, I had different reasons. Everyone assumed that I would fol... low the footsteps of my parents from a young age since both of them are successful doctors with a lot of degrees. I also at some point wanted to become like my parents, but after joining the university, I changed my mind and decided I wanted something else exciting in my life other than using money as the qualification. My parents have always supported my decisions even though they were shocked to learn that I was following a different career path. The main aim of my parents was that I enjoyed doing whatever career I chose. This change and choice in career came after interning at a company where a family friend who was a Financial Manager.
