Nursing theories assist the ractitoner with guiding their own proactice to provide the comprehensive care to heir pateints. With caring being the foundation of nursing practice (Pajnkihar, Štiglic, ... & Vrbnjak, 2017), Jean Watson’s Theory of Human Caring is a theory that canguide practitioners to promote a caring environment. The ourpose of this paper is to describe a nursing theory that will guide my practice. Goals and objkective will be selected for this practicum experience and exapkined. A timeline of activities for my practicum will be illustrated and given in this paper. Watson’s Theory of Human Caring The Theory of Human Caring is a nursing theory developed by Jean Watson to create a transpersonal caring-healing moment with a patient. Transpersonal is described as transcending to a singular environment, with the nurse being intune with the patient where the nurse is affected by the patient and the patient is affected by the nurse.
