Reciprocal teaching is a strategy which students and teachers share the role of teaching by allowing either to lead the discussion about a given topic or reading. There are four strategies which guide ... such discussions which are question generating, predicting, clarifying and summarising. This method of teaching is good because it allows the spread of readings ideas while discussing. Although the method can be used on a number of content areas, it is most effective with non-fiction text and textbooks (Fung, Wilkinson & Moore, 2003). Reciprocal teaching is good because it supports the comprehension process which requires order thinking like choosing, examining, interpreting, and converting and deduction analysis.
