Ross (10) writes that the native people initially to inhabit American continent were of Indian descent. Throughout history, they occupied the land as theirs until colonialists invaded them. Invading ... forces from Europe destroyed their way of living. An effort is now in place to preserve the culture and identity of the original inhabitants (Ross 25). They face extinction due to increased modernisation. Many of the ethnic groups got infiltrated by other races leading to a near extinction. In many parts of the world, the ethnic Indian people have from a long period in history provided the focal point for the development shaping the history of the world in the process. Major revolutions started areas they occupied; such include the money and silver capitalism, the growth and eventual decline of the slave trade, the food revolution, major technological developments, and also growth of corporations. In many parts innovations, they introduced to the world helped shape the economies of countries for a long period in the past. It is through the importance by Indian community to economy of the world that I have decided to look into the importance of their contribution to major revolutions in the world. [Show More]
