1. All the corporate entities needs to carry out different activities in an acceptable
manner and be responsible (Manu et al., 2019). Ethical dilemmas is likely to occur in
situations where the organization does not adhere to the acceptable code of conduct.
All the choices have different consequences especially in the case of moral dilemma.
Individuals needs to view the outcomes and determine on which perspective they
would take. Rachel was faced with the same dilemma situation of choosing between
two choices. One of the incidence was to determine as to whether she had to
implement her boss direction on flooding the email boxes with marketing
advertisement. This made it difficult as it would be injustice to the customers and at
the same time not doing what her employer demanded of her meant disobedience. On
the other hand she also needed to get the results as she was anxious just like her boss.
However her decision dwelt on respecting the rights of the users but went ahead and
looked for an alternative way of marketing approach which was ethical but could not
yield the targeted results which drugged her deeper into the dilemma.
Another dilemma was the view of her boss stating that they should deceive
their clients with emailing them with an influential person name which would
definitely lure them into checking on the advertisement emails. This idea itself is
violating the code of conduct making Rachel uncomfortable with the idea as this may
lead to more problems as loss of trust from customers and even resentment. This was
very hard to avoid as it was considered a good idea by her boss as it would result to
the intended results they both want to attain. However this idea was not appropriate
which made Rachel to stand up to her boss to convince her otherwise but at long last
the boss came to agree with her.
