NURSING 2
In recent times, studies have revealed that professional competency and accountability
impacts greatly on shaping our careers. This involves adherence to set code of conducts within
the practice of various disciplines including nursing, accounting, engineering among others
(Ewoh ,2013). Nevertheless, we also have to inculcate in us desirable values that will bring the
most in us in our careers. This plays a significant role in determining our productivity which
impacts on our personal career disciplines. For this essay, I will reflect on my personal career by

personal finances. I always find myself spending too much on “wants” rather “needs”. For
example, I find it difficult to live within my monthly wages and in most cases, I usually run out
of money before the month ends forcing me to seek credit elsewhere to sustain me.
With regards to career planning, I am certainly on the right track but there is still room
for improvement. Evidently, I am a nursing graduate and got employment within the first few
years of leaving school which is commendable, owing to the high rates of unemployment in
America. (Furman, 2016). I have worked as a nursing professional for a few years now and just
