You may begin posting on Sunday, January 13th, 2019 for credit. One of the reasons for this week's discussion is to get you thinking about those upcoming projects. The Course Outcomes for this week are that you will: 1. Examine the sources of knowledge that contribute to professional nursing practice, & 2. Apply research principles to the interpretation of the content of published research studies. You are going to locate evidence pertaining to your assigned topic. Consider the different approaches to research when conducting your search. Analyze the literature you find to ensure its relevancy & discuss how the article is going to benefit your topic. As the discussion progresses, you should be receiving feedback from your peers about your topic. **PRO TIP: Remember when I mentioned working smarter, not harder? What I recommend to you for this discussion is that prior to posting, you start collaborating with your group members. Make sure each one of you is using a different research article. For assignments in future weeks, you will be critiquing research articles & you will need research articles for your project. So find a really good research article that pertains to your topic now. That will count as 1 of your articles to critique for a different assignment down the road. Please refer to my announcement at the beginning of the course showing examples of a regular journal article versus a research article. Remember, you should be collaborating with your group members in your assigned Unit 9 module. Refer to the announcement I posted at the beginning of the course. Please utilize the Threaded Discussion graded rubric as a guideline for posting to the discussions. These are the criteria you will be graded on which includes the use of citations & references according to current APA. Please be sure to ask any questions you have in the Q&A forum. Remember that although this post is done individually, you cannot duplicate articles among group members. Should you have any trouble contacting your group members before tomorrow's deadline, I recommend going to the Unit 9 module tab assigned to your group topic & posting a reference citation to the article you found.
