Topic and Summary of person’s ideas I chose my topic to be Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party. Hitler was a German politician who believed in violence and antisemitism. He served as dictator and foun... der of the Nazi Party. He established a fascist government and believed that the purest race was the German, Aryan people and the worst of which were Jews. After World War 1, Hitler’s main goal was to restore Germany to its original glory by doing away with the treaty of Versailles and reuniting all ethnic Germans under one nation. He believed that only pure Aryan people should be citizens and that all Jews would lose their citizenship. How did the ideas or changes affect the establishment and status quo? Hitler was upset with the previous German government, also known as the Weimar Republic. His extreme ideological beliefs were a challenge to the precedence that the government had set. What was the context in which this person proposed ideas/change? At the time, Germany was distraught. The people were upset about the conditions of the Treaty of Versailles. These conditions weakened Germany and humiliated the German people. How did the government or the people respond to the ideas/change? For the most part, the people were behind him. They most likely did not know what he planned to do with the Jews and other minorities, but they were in a fragile state and willing to support the Nazi party. [Show More]
