In the past, only the elite colleges in developed countries attracted international students. However, a visit to some of the colleges previously not chosen by many international students will reveal a change in student composition. Education has broken borders since the internet age started due to availability of online courses and globalization. A report by UNESCO indicates that by the year 2007, there were over 2.8 million international students across the world. That figure could rise to 7.2 million by 2025, according to the same report. India is one of the countries where an increasing number of students prefer to join international colleges. New Zealand (NZ) has increasingly become a destination for many students from India in recent times according to the education ministry. The research will look to shed light on the international on understanding the Indian international market to the Private Training Establishments (PTE) in NZ.
