Our plan is to this in a way that it is virtually undetected or noticed. This phase will involve the active gathering of publicly available information from employee’s social media accounts. People’s social media accounts tell a lot about them personally and the information can be used to answer security challenge questions. Emails sent to employees enticing them to click links that are really mirrors or cloned pages of legit sites that tricks them into entering valid username/password credentials. Shodan is a tool that scans the Internet for anything that’s connected to it, and once it is scanned it can provide a lot of information about that endpoint.
