This intends to ensure safety of the patient since inappropriately sharing their health records would detriment their healthcare safety. Merits Continuation ❖The bill ensures avoiding of disclosure of patients’ health records with substance use disorder without medical staff’s written consent. It thus improves the patient safety ensuring that no research or such other evolutions would be done using the patient’s records without getting a consent from a medical staff. ❖This bill would allow better decisions in understanding potential consequences of accessing patients’ records since the doctors would make better informed decisions than just allowing patients to do that on their own.
