Mental and physical health benefits that one can experience from exercising There is no doubt that health is wealth. Exercising promotes a better mental health, physical health, and lifestyle. Exerc... ise is performed for various reasons such as for strengthening our body muscles and improves the functioning of cardiovascular system, sharpen athletic skills and for weight loss or maintenance. There are plenty of mental and physical health benefits of performing exercises like for maintaining our body physically fit, it prevents us from various harmful diseases and also improves the function of our brain. First of all, the regular physical activity is one of the most mandatory things we can do for our health. It makes our body physically fit. Lydia (2020) suggested that “exercise helps one control their weight and with a healthy diet, exercise plays an important role in controlling and preventing obesity, which has been a health issue because of a sedentary way of life” (para.6). By doing aerobic exercise with resistance training helps in maximizing fat loss and muscle mass maintenance, which is important for keeping the weight off. Exercise plays an important role in developing and maintaining strong muscles and bones. Exercise helps us to release hormones that promote the ability of our muscles to absorb amino acids and this helps them in the growth of muscles. It is very important for athletes to boost their stamina and make their body fit. There are many exercises which help them in maintaining our body physically fit. Nowadays, people are suffering from various kinds of harmful diseases this is due to lack of doing exercise. Regular exercise helps prevent the body from heart disease and stroke, high blood pressure, back pain, obesity, diabetes and also help us to better manage stress. According to Lydia Atieno (2020, “the increased blood flow raises the oxygen levels in the body. This helps lower the risk of heart diseases such as high cholesterol, coronary artery diseases, and heart attack,” (para.8). By doing exercise at early morning helps in improving the functioning of the respiratory system. Exercise also helps with lower blood sugar level and also helps in performance of insulin. It also reduces the risk of some cancer, including colon, breast, uterine, and lung cancer. The various studies show that physical exercise can reduce the risk of dying early from the leading causes of death, like heart disease and cancer. Moreover, doing exercise also improves the functioning of the brain or make us mentally strong. Sara (2020) suggested that “if you're feeling a bit sluggish today, just two minutes of exercise could give your brain a boost, a new study shows” (para.1).
