The midterm exam is an open book and open note exam. It is not timed but will close by July 18, 11:55pm. The exam is composed of three sections: a multiple choice section, a video identification sect ... ion, and one Essay question. Please read ALL instructions before continuing. To open this midterm, you first need to finish and submit the Extra Credit quiz. The Video Identification section consists of 4 videos in flash format with two questions per video. Make sure Flash is enabled by your browser so your test runs smoothly. You can test if Flash is working in your browser by going to this site: https://depts.washington.edu/dlearn/techTests/ The last question is the Essay question. This is found on the next page. The Essay section is worth 30 points total. Your essay will be composed of an introduction, two exampleparagraphs from the resources, and a conclusion. The two examples should include references from the course resources ONLY and describe the form, technique and structure. The two examples need to be from different Lessons not just one lesson. These examples are worth 10 points each making them the most substantial portion of the essay. You can save, edit, and return to any portion of the exam during the open period. To go back or move forward to specific questions, scroll down the page. When you are finished, select the "Submit Quiz" button. You may note that this exam is 'muted'. This means that you will not see a grade for this exam until I have finished grading the essay questions for the entire class.
