What is the difference between Retired Reserve versus Retied at Age 60? - ✔✔Military
members that were on Active Duty orders for Contingency Operations are authorized to
receive Retired pay and an Retired ID Card 90 days early for every 90 days of Active
Duty served, however they do not receive medical benefits they reach age 60. As a
Grey Area Retiree they qualify for the TriCare Retired Reserve Program until age 60
along with the Retired Reserve members that do not qualify for retired pay until 60.
What requirements must be met in order to meet eligibility for Abused Dependents? -
✔✔All dependents must meet the eligibility requirements in the Air Force Instruction 36-
3026_IP (AFI) Chapter 5, 5.1 i.e. to obtain transitional compensation. Service Member
must be being separated for dependent abuse in order for transitional compensation to
be authorized. Eligibility requirements must STILL be met for children between the ages
of 21-23 which is full-time student status. Please see the Family Advocacy office at the
closest military facility for assistance.
Are Active Guard Reserve (AGR) Soldiers required to be placed on a Reserve on Active
Duty Status in DEERS? - ✔✔Yes, Active Guard Reserve Soldiers are required to be
placed on Reserve on Active Duty Status in DEERS for the initial reporting date. The
length of the order for the first term is 3 years. This will be the end date for the Active
