Adrenaline auto-injectors (auto-injectors) such as
Epi-pen and Anapen are stored in a safe, unlocked
and accessible, easy-to-find location.
List location/s of auto-injectors:
Auto injectors are kept in a box labelled

.Auto injectors are kept in the kitchen
where the temperature is always from
22 to 24 degrees.
Auto-injectors and copies of ASCIA Action Plan for
Anaphylaxis (Action Plans) are located together.
A copy of Action Plan is kept with the
medication box containing autoinjectors in the medication cabinet and
also stuck on the cabinet door.
Auto-injectors& Action Plans are labelled with
students’ names.
Auto injectors and the Action Plan are

Student’s Action Plans have up-to-date photos of
the students.
The photos on Action Plans will be
updated every month.
Expiry dates of adrenaline auto-injectors are
checked regularly and parents informed in a timely
manner.
Routinely, the service will review each
child’s medication to ensure it hasn’t
expired. A list will be kept in office and
medication will be checked once a
month when first aid checks are done
to make sure they are in date.
Staff members know where adrenaline autoinjectors and Action Plans are stored.
The service will ensure that the autoinjection device kit is stored in a
location that is known to all staff,
including relief staff; easily accessible
to adults (not locked away)
Staff members are aware of the Anaphylaxis
Guidelines for Queensland State Schools.
Guidelines will be displayed in areas of
prominence to ensure all practices and
procedures are followed accordingly
Students Staff members are aware of which students are at
risk of anaphylaxis and the actions required.
All action plans will be labelled and
