Comprehensive Assessment First Day of Class Presentation – Introduction to Tina Jones The following resource is meant as a best practice for introducing your class to Tina Jones on the first day of class. Our best practice is to load an assignment with Tina Jones so that you can demonstrate the ease of interaction with her and our other virtual patients. We have supplementary materials to help give your students on overview of Shadow Health. We will cover in-depth the following steps for conducting this presentation: 1) Sign into your Shadow Health instructor account 2) Select an assignment to try as a student 3) Download the Unity Web Player 4) Model virtual patient communication strategies a) Greeting your patient b) Asking open ended questions – reason for visit c) Providing clarification d) Asking specific questions and providing context – ER medication e) Asking additional open-ended questions – current status and medical history f) Providing patient empathy g) Asking specific questions – past medical history h) Providing patient education Top of the Document 1.
