MATH 126 Calculus II Final Exam Practice Problems (S21)
• Not all topics appearing on the exam will appear in this practice problems list, and not all
topics appearing in this practice problems list will appear on the exam. Please don’t limit
your exam preparations to this practice problems list alone.
• Problems from the actual exam will be adapted from problems appearing on/in anything we
covered in the course.
– About half of the exam will come from the sections covered since midterm 2: 11.3, 12.1,
12.2, 12.3, 12.4, and 12.5.
– The remainder of the exam will primarily consist of integration techniques and infinite
series, with a bit taken from the other topics.
• The actual exam will last 90 minutes.
• During the actual exam, your proctor will lead you through the check-in/exam/check-out
stages just as during the lab quizzes. Be sure you have your ID, you’ve charged your phone,
and you’re able to sit for 90 minutes (unless you have an accommodation for breaks during
exams).
• Show all work on the actual exam, unless otherwise specified.
• All responses on the actual exam should be be uploaded to the lecture Blackboard page in
the “Final” content area.
• We want you to succeed! Y’all have done such a great job this semester, and we know
y’all can keep up the good work for one more exam.

i. Respond to the following prompts, showing your work
completely.
(a) Are v and w parallel, perpendicular, or neither?
(b) Find a vector perpendicular to both v and w.
(c) Find the area of the parallelogram spanned by v and w.
(d) Write a scalar equation of the plane parallel to both v and w containing the point
(3, 0, −1).
(e) At what point - if any - does the plane in part (d) intersect the line containing the points
P(3, 0, −1) and Q(2, 1, 0)?
